The Homecoming: A Christmas Story By Christopher Sergel Based on the book by Earl Hamner, Jr. Directed by Anne Lewis November 30 – December 11, 2016
A HEARTWARMING CHRISTMAS TALE On a snowy Christmas Eve in 1933 in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Olivia and her children are preparing for Christmas and anxiously awaiting their father’s return. When he doesn’t show as promised, his oldest son braves the winter weather in search as the family gathers around the fire to trim the tee and distract the children with tales of Christmases past. This heartfelt play filled with hope and love would later become the classic television show “The Waltons.”
Talk Balk Sessions with the director, cast and crew will be held after the first Sunday Matinee and after our Morning Matinee performances. Purchase your tickets early for these popular events.
