Screendance Festival
Gambet Center Auditorium
Curated by Timothy Cowart
November 15 and 18, 2018
The DeSales Screendance Festival showcases the exciting art form of Screendance, a hybrid between dance and film that blends the technological craft of filmmaking with the vibrancy and brilliance of human movement. The festival will open Thursday evening with a slate of award-winning international dance films. The festival continues on Sunday evening celebrating the collaborative spirit our dance, theatre, and film majors bring to the 48-Hour Screendance Challenge! Their work will be adjudicated by a working professional dance-filmmaker who provides feedback on the students’ films.
Recommended for Ages 6+
Please be advised that the Festival is a FREE event. Tickets
must be acquired ahead of time. Seating is on a
first-come, first served basis.
